A disillusioned, highly skilled, presumed dead CIA agent,
Mr. Reese (Jim Caviezel)
works with a mysterious, resourceful, billionaire, Finch. Together with the help of “The Machine” and
a few good friends made along the way, they save
unsuspecting citizens from crimes about to befall them – sometimes the person of interest is the
victim, sometimes the perpetrator … either way, they stop the crime and keep “The Machine’s”
existence secret at all cost.
Partial Cast:
Jim Caviezel (John Reese)
Michael Emerson (Harold Finch)
Taraji P.Henson (Detective Jocelyn "Joss" Carter)
Kevin Chapman (Detective Lionel Fusco)
Amy Acker (Root/Samantha Groves)
Sarah Shahi (Sameen Shaw)
“Person of Interest” is my all-time favorite ❤️ TV show – it was phenomenal in so many ways. 👏 I wish it had gone on for several more seasons 🥲 Of course, I love “Reese” 🥰 but the marvelous part of this show is that ALL the cast was wonderful. I never get tired of re-watching. Highly recommend it. Below is a note I wrote in a Facebook group celebrating the anniversary of the debut of “Person of Interest”.❤️

September 22nd is a RELEVANT day!!
“Person of Interest” 🎉debuted 🎉on this day in 2011. We got 103 episodes during its 5-season run …
which I’m still upset wasn’t longer 😫– I am holding a grudge on this one 😉
Trivia … The alias of the secretive John Reese is an homage to Batman's The Riddler (i.e. E. Nigma
is made to sound like enigma) as Mr. Reese is made to sound like "mysteries"…. I never thought of
that – but it’s true 🤪
Trivia related to “The Count of Monte Cristo” … In season one, several nods are made to The Count of
Monte Cristo. The book shows up as a school assignment in Witness (2011). The teacher who assigned
that book was Elias who had a similar betrayal back-story to Edmond Dantes in that he was wronged by
people close to him and he sought revenge on everyone. In "Many Happy Returns," Dagmara Dominczyk
who played Caviezel's love interest in "Monte Cristo" is the Person of Interest. … “Elias” was, in
my opinion, the best bad guy on poi – he had a great interaction with “Reese”.
I watched from the first episode. I remember watching t.v. with a friend and an advertisement for
the show came on. My friend said, “God! Look at that guy” (referencing “Reese”). I responded,
“That’s the guy from ‘Angel Eyes’. I’ll be watching this show.” 🥰 And, I watched every episode – as
it turned out, the show was actually phenomenal too. I will not elaborate on how many times since
I’ve watched the show – that would just be embarrassing. 🤪
Did you watch poi from the start or did you find it later?
